What do you need to grow your vegetable bulbs?
When you're about to grow your own vegetables, it can be quite challenging to find out what you need exactly, to create and maintain healthy soil and grow nutricious vegetables. That's why we here to help and give you some of our best advice!
Here are some of our tips & tricks to get started on that delicious kitchen garden!
- First, start your kitchen garden in the right place, make sure its's a sunny site so your vegetable bulbs can flourish.
- Vegetable bulbs prefer well-draining soil. Make sure the soil is not too heavy. Always loosen the ground and when heavy, mix it with a handful of grit to help the drainage.
- Enrich the soil with an organic growth stimulant to get the right amount of nutrients. Organic growth stimulant optimizes the condition and makes sure you get healthier, richer and stronger vegetables and flowers.
- Make sure the soil has the right pH, this can be a big factor in growing a successfull vegetable garden. The soil in a vegetable garden should be somewhere between 6 and 7. To lower the pH, you need to add sulfur and Aluminium sulfate. To raise the pH you need to add lime. If you wonder what the pH of your soil is or if you're not sure, please do a ground test.
