Your Advice and Tips

Share your tips with our gardening community and pass on the knowledge you have gain in your time gardening. We want to hear your dos and don’ts for successful gardening from planting hanging baskets to garden maintenance.

We will soon be opening a section within the site for our gardening community to share their experiences and provide nuggets of wisdom to the rest of our community. We will be selecting from our customers the best advice and garden stories to publish for our entire community to gain from.

Christopher Lynders

Chris joined Jones Garden Centre in 2015 A Student and Graduate of The National Botanical Gardens and is a keen gardener his area of expertise ranges from pots and hanging baskets to herbaceous cottage gardens and allotment vegetables. A member of our plants team Chris is available for planting advice and troubleshooting your gardening queries. Chris is a local friendly face and is a first port of call for our customers in the garden centre who usual proceed with their visit with a smile on their face.

    Hi, im putting together some window boxes and id like some plants that are both long flowering and that will attract Bees and Butterflies, any plants you can recommend?

  • Hi Paul there are lot of plants to attract bees and butterflies great in window boxes will be Alyssum, Aster, Cosmocs, Lavender, Buddleja davidii,Echinecea purpurea, and Black Eyed Susan. All plants are in stock and available at present.
